One of the greatest struggles most parents have in dealing with an adult child struggling with substance use disorder is differentiating between inadvertently enabling their addiction vs. helping them in a healthy and loving way toward recovery.

In this program father and son team Kim and Sean Humphrey talk about their journey as Sean's parents began to institute the loving and healthy boundaries they learned by attending Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL). Kim is now the CEO of PAL; and Sean is in long-term recovery after years of addiction to heroin. He now is the community liaison for The Calvary Healing Center in Phoenix.

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) is a nonprofit that provides hope through education and support to parents of adults dealing with substance use disorder. Free weekly support groups of parents helping parents use an evidence-based curriculum created by professionals in the treatment and recovery field.
